The carbide tipped core drills from Alfra are reliable "endurance runners" for the daily use in the metal industry. We have designed the drills in the "heavy industrial version" precisely for this purpose - this model is equipped with a few extras for particularly high loads. For example, the special design with keyway and feather key, to absorb high torsional forces during drilling. The result: vibration-free work processes. In long-term test series, this design performed significantly better than the version with standard Weldon mount. The tool design is deliberately shorter and more stable in order to achieve high concentricity. Like all of our carbide-tipped core drills, this model has a three-stage grinding process with pre-, medium- and re-cutters. That's why the chips are divided and do not jam. The drilling itself is easy to do by hand: You will experience a perfect cutting behaviour, the low cutting pressure and the effortless ejection of the drill core.
